We're
proud to have been a part of the Capitol's
Dome restoration project. The first stage
of the project was the removal of lead-based
paint from between the dome's inner and outer
shells. One safety concern was that the vibrations
from the work would cause some of the paint
chips or even a piece of the cornice to fall
on one of the thousands of tourists who visit
daily.
InCord
was chosen to solve the problem. We manufactured
overhead debris containment netting just for
the Capitol dome project. The system, made
of four protective layers, collected any fallen
debris and allowed the rotunda to remain open
to visitors.
