InCord placed first and third in two categories at the Hartford Courant/Fox TV Top Workplaces 2011 Awards held September 22nd at the Southington Aqua Turf Club. The awards banquet and ceremony honored 45 companies as top workplace employers. Award recognition was based on employee surveys from over 200 hundred private and public companies from Metro Hartford and eastern Connecticut.
InCord employee Christopher Rolland accepted the two awards for InCord from ceremony presenters Erika Arias, anchor for Fox TV Morning News, and Rich Graziano, President of the Hartford Courant. Who are these companies and how did they become the best places to work? These were the fundamental questions asked of employees using a straight forward questionnaire sent to over one thousand business, with several hundred businesses agreeing to participate.

The project, organized by WorkplaceDynamics and funded by the Hartford Courant newspaper and Fox TV media, poled businesses of fifty or more employees in all sectors from financial and insurance, to social services, construction and manufacturing. The survey ranked companies based totally on what the employees had to say and then ranked the companies by a measure of critical qualities. The top companies ranked highest in their respect of employees as a vital participant in the organization.
Other criteria included successful team work, open communications – and most important; the ability to put to practice what is said through action leadership that make the company a standout among their employees. At InCord, employees work, eat, and listen to music together often sharing and helping each other to learn new skills at all levels. There is a positive can-do spirit at InCord that collectively can turn around the seemingly impossible and delivers a custom netting product on time, every time.
