Today we are shining a spotlight on InCord Play Sales Manager, Quinn McKenna. Quinn works directly with distributors and customers to provide custom solutions to a wide range of industries including Waterparks, Theme Parks, Zoos, Aquariums and so much more. His attention to detail and personable approach make him easy to work with.
Quinn McKenna
As InCord Play Sales Manager, Quinn is the main point of contact between InCord and its wide range of customers across the country (and the globe!). He works incredibly hard to facilitate communication throughout all aspects of a sale. From the first phone call to the final installation, Quinn ensures projects run smoothly, and his customers' projects succeed.
How long have you been with InCord? 9 years
What does your day look like as an InCord Play Sales Manager?
I spend my days discussing rope and netting applications of all kinds. I am in constant communication with new and existing customers, our production team, and my sales coordinators to ensure our customers' projects are on track to be produced and installed successfully. Knowing my customers are receiving a product to provide safety and FUN makes all the hard work worth it.
Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?
Robin Ritz, InCord's owner and Creative Visionary. Robin has been a mentor and excellent support to me over the years. The tools and techniques she has helped me develop have made me a more confident leader and communicator, not only in my professional career but also in my personal life.
What is a unique part of working here?
The wide range of applications our materials can be used for is fascinating. Sometimes a customer proposes a new and unique project for which we get to collaborate on a solution. Those interactions and innovations are always exciting.
What advice would you give to someone just beginning their career?
Ask questions and listen to the answers.
What was your first job?
I worked on a farm milking cows. It was a formidable job and taught me a lot about how hard work pays off. I still really enjoy working with animals and being outdoors. I keep many egg-laying chickens and even have a peacock at home.
How do you like to spend your time when you aren't working?
I love maintaining my garden, doing work around my home, and spending time with my family.
Recommend a book you have recently read:
How to Win Friends and Influence People, by Dale Carnegie.
I have attended courses at the Carnegie Institute and find his perspective on communication very interesting.
What motivates you?
My family. I have two young daughters who mean the world to me.
Do you have a secret talent?
I know all the words to Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive."
