InCord Gives Back

Here at InCord, one of the values we hold in the highest regard is to make time for community. Whether we are giving our time by participating in charitable events as a company or donating to local organizations that provide much-needed goods and services to those in need, InCord is always looking for ways to support and care for our fellow citizens.

Each year we show up in teams to help build better lives for people in our surrounding areas by painting, drilling, hammering, and spackling at new home constructions in partnership with Eastern CT Habitat for Humanity. It is challenging and gratifying work that solidifies us as a team and produces something that can ultimately change people's lives.

We certainly don't mind getting our hands dirty for a good cause. In that same spirit, InCord employees had the distinction of being the top fundraisers for the Epilepsy Foundation of CT's mud volleyball tournament in 2021. It was a worthy cause we were proud to participate in as several teams.

We would like to congratulate the top fundraising team, InCord Mud Slides (sponsored by InCord), for utilizing their online fundraising page to raise $1,205 for Mud Volleyball this year! It was a very close race with fellow InCord team InCord Mud Madness who raised $1,145 to support our cause. Kudos to both teams, and we truly appreciate their fundraising efforts!

As the holidays approach, we look forward to participating in the Secret Santa program hosted by our hometown's Youth and Family Services. They provide us with the names and wishes of local children and families who need a bit of cheer, and we put those names and wishes on tags for everyone to choose. This event helps us provide what our neighbors need, and together we make the holidays a little less stressful for people in our community.

Another way we like to celebrate the holidays is with our annual Trees of Warmth. Everyone brings in new socks, hats, gloves, and other cozy items to decorate the holiday trees in our facilities. Then, we donate all of the 'decorations' to the Windham No Freeze Project. It is gratifying to know that we can give back during tough times, and the holidays can be particularly difficult for those in need.

It is important to us at InCord to take time to make opportunities available for everyone, especially children. Over the years, we have found consistent ways to support and encourage our youth by offering sponsorships through local non-profits like the Colchester Youth Basketball, the Bacon Academy Robotics team, and our local high school's Project Graduation

These are just a few ways we like to engage with and give back as a team. In this continued kindness and care for others, we are doing our part to help others succeed, allowing us to flourish as a company and team.
